The provincial Nomination Certificate through MPNP is considered as a pathway to Canadian permanent residence. As per the requirements of MPNP immigration streams, the foreign nationals are allowed to settle in Manitoba permanently.
The Skilled Worker category works through an “Expression of Interest�? system. In this category, the candidates are required to go through a series of questions online before submitting any document or profile into the pool. This category of immigration targets the individuals who can work with local employers to fulfil the labour market needs such as Welders, Carpenters, Cooks and Plumbers. They must demonstrate language proficiency and should be between 21 and 45 years of age. Additionally, they need to have sufficient funds to establish themselves in the province.

Minimum net worth is not an eligibility criterion; however, net worth/ source of funds will be considered for the purpose of evaluating the potential to successfully execute the business plan. The applicant must demonstrate liquid funds equivalent to Low Income Cut-Off (LICO) requirements for independent financial resources for a six-month period. Personal net worth will be verified by a third-party supplier approved by the MPNP. A verification report, along with the application, must be submitted to the MPNP within 120 days of receiving the LAA. |
Business Performance Agreement | After an application is approved, a Business Performance Agreement (BPA) must be signed prior to the MPNP issuing the applicant a letter of support for applying for a temporary work permit. |
